Welcome to Belfairs Methodist Church.

"Where old friends meet and strangers feel at home."

Our Minister is Pastor Steve Mayo who became our Minister on 1st September 2018.

"Until recently, I was a life-long member of the Salvation Army and for 15 years a Salvation Army Officer (Ordained Minister). I have had churches both in South Wales and London during that time.

As from 1st September 2017 I have worked for the Methodist Church in the Southend and Leigh circuit.

I took up the position of minister of Belfairs Methodist Church from September 2018, and I really look forward to what God has in store for me and the church as I fulfil my calling here.

My wife Dani and I, have been married for 25 years and we have 3 daughters, Shannon (22), Megan (19) and Ellie (15).

I enjoy brass bands and have played a brass instrument since I was 7 years old. My other hobbies are walking and camping."

There is something going on at Belfairs for everyone, from our Parent & Toddler Group, through 10 O'clock club, Girls' & Boys Brigades, to Mens Supper Club and A.C.T.I.O.N group.  We cater for those who just want / need to sit around for a chat with Coffee Mornings and House groups to the more active with the Bowls and Badminton Clubs.

Belfairs is also known for the four "F's" - Fellowship, Fun , Flowers & Food.

Whatever the occassion there is always plenty of fellowship, fun and laughter at Belfairs. I dare you to come along and prove us wrong! Everyone is made welcome at Belfairs and new friends soon become old friends.

If you're unsure of walking into a crowded church, as a new face, pop along to one of our Saturday coffee mornings first. There's always someone to talk to who will make you feel welcome.

Whenever there is a special event (and sometimes when there's not) there's always plenty of wonderful food on offer.  From homemade cakes at Thirsty For?? and some of the coffee mornings, to bar-b-que's, afternoon tea, the monthly Sunday lunches and lunches at our Fayres. Look out for other occassions when we serve  pancakes and brunches at our Saturday coffee mornings.

We have a number of ladies who are gifted at flower arranging and, every Sunday, there is always a wonderful display of flowers which are then distributed to those who are ill or in need of a 'lift' that a bouquet of flowers brings.

We really look forward to seeing you!
