The Boys' Brigade motto is:- Sure and Steadfast

Our Boys Brigade Company at Belfair’s has now been running for over 40 years and has four different sections for different age groups. Our main goal at the Brigade is the development of our youth helping them to achieve a true Christian manliness. We meet on Mondays during term times and put on a range of educational and fun activities for our boys. These can range from going over to Belfair’s woods to arts and crafts in the church. We also run weekend meetings with other local companies from games nights to trips out to mega zone. We also have an annual summer camp where both the girls and Boys Brigade have the chance to come away for a week for fun and activities.

The Anchor Boys Section

The anchor boys section is for boys from school reception up until year two of school. The section is run by Janice, Pat and Alan and the boys learn a balanced programme consisting of five zones:

  1. Body - Fit for fun
  2. Mind - Think & do
  3. Spirit - God & me
  4. Community - Me & my world
  5. Creativity - Make and do

The anchor boys are asked to wear a special uniform consisting of a red top with a BB badge along with their normal school uniform however the uniform is not compulsory. During their time the will be able to work towards anchor badges helping them learn life values of work and reward.
